Rocky Mountain Gamers 101

A new podcast spanning the Rocky Mountains from the United States and up into Canada. We look at the gaming industry though an international lens and years of gaming experience.

Marc Camron – RMG South and the original Rocky Mountain Gamer – brings nearly 30 years experience as a gaming journalist, writing for more than 100 different publications such as Electronic Gaming Monthly, Computer Game Review, Electronic Games, Walmart GameCenter, Hero Illustrated, Cinescape, The Chicago Sun Times, The Denver Post, The Boulder Daily Camera and many, many more. His column, Rocky Mountain Gamer has run since 2006 and despite a one year break due to the Covid pandemic has resumed publication in the Rocky Mountain region.

The first game he played was Pong. It was the only choice at the time.

Lbabinz – RMG North – has earned a reputation online as helping the gamers of Canada locate hard-to-find games and consoles, pre-orders and fantastic sales. His treasure hunting for the good climes (and sometimes even the U.S.) has earned him appreciation aplenty. Babz (as Marc calls him) is also a lifelong gaming fan (albeit a few years younger than RMG South) brings an amazing knowledge and understanding to the industry. He has the added perspective of having children and being able to look at gaming as a father.

Between them the two gamers play every kind of game, but have formed a kinship over Japanese games, particularly JRPGs, adventure games,, Marvel movies and a shared love of Star Wars.
